Personal Organizer
A personal organizer is essential to keeping track of your daily plans. Do you get to the end of the day and wonder where the hours have gone? Have you forgotten to do that important task? If so, then you are not alone. While we cannot get an extra hour in the day, an organizer can help you to use your time more effectively.
Having an organizer is portable allows you to get things down on paper and out of your head - this can reduce stress and focus you on the tasks that are important. You can enter your appointments, bill due dates, birthdays of family and friends, phone calls made and expenses and hours worked. However, what personal organizer do you buy? How much do you spend? What is the most practical for you? In my experience, an organizer is most practical at a day to a page, with appointment times running down the left side of each page. This allows you to easily schedule your appointments and also to put your daily to-do list on each page. I find that sleeves in the personal organizer are important for holding those extra loose papers that always seem to accumulate, and of course a pen holder - few things are more infuriating than not being able to pen your entries. Obviously, an organizer needs to be tailored to fit into your bag, brief case or large purse. However, a personal organizer need not be the traditional book, as electronic personal digital assistants (PDAs) and time management software on computers can do all that you paper organizer can do, and then some.
