Have children participate in chores

by Sally
(Canada)

I have found that incorporating my children into cooking has been really useful for me.

It allows me to spend quality time with my children and at the same time teach them some important skills.

I also have them help me with some chores.

For Seb, my young one, I get him to help set and clear the table - and give him small tasks such as "can you get the butter from the fridge please"

For my older kid, John he is able to help a bit more and load the dishwasher.

I find that this not only helps me - a single mom, but also gives me quality time with my children.

Thanks for all of your tips
Sally
